The sentences in this cartoon are good examples of IF-CLAUSES (Type 1).
If + Present Simple (Cause), Future (Consequence)
If I do my homework, I will get good grades.
If I get good grades, you will send me to college.
If I go to college I will graduate and get a job.
PAY ATTENTION: The if-clauses are all in the 1st person singular affirmative. Don't forget:
Present Simple (affirmative): he/she/it - VERB + S or ES
Present Simple (negative): I/we/you/they - don't + INFINITIVE
he/she/it - doesn't + INFINITIVE
Future (negative): will not (won't) + INFINITIVE
